  • KRIGA(Korean National Research Institute for the Gifted in Arts, Director : Nam Soo Young) was established to focus on special education for the gifted by the government policy with the importance of the education of great artistic talent for the future on June 3, 2005. On February 22, 2011, it was designated as Training Institute for the Gifted in Arts by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in accordance with the Promotion of Education for the Gifted and Talented Law and the related legal system. We''re looking forward to achieve special education for the gifted as a new education system to develop and cultivate creative people professionally and competently for the improvement of the national competitiveness in the 21st century with the purpose of the comprehensive support and the important role to develop and cultivate a gifted person at an early stage. We are planning to oragnize special education for the gifted in arts by extending educational opportunities and managing the quality of educational value through various research such as the theoretical principles, the policy, the development for the gifted in arts, the curriculum design, the support system and the strategies of Enhancing educational experts and the specialized program development, etc. In addition, we''ll approach to conduct the policy and system related to Korea''s education for the gifted in arts from now on supporting a high level of R&E(Research & Education) through connection with education institutes for the gifted in arts.
